Redeemed / Unredeemed Gifts

An unredeemed gift, talent, or capability is one in whose purpose is self-serving, or when it is used as an adaptation or coping strategy. For example, the gift of loyalty is expressed as stubbornness when it is used for self-fulfillment or self-protection.

Jesus can redeem our gifts, talents, and capabilities when we choose to use them for godly purposes. For example, the gift of loyalty is expressed as faith when it is used for honoring God or benefiting others.
